3 million soms amounted to damage from the border conflict – akim of Batken district-KLOOP.KG

The damage from the conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border in the Batken region was estimated at 3 million soms. Akim of Batken region Uchkunbek Zhorobaev told Azattyk about this .

Also, according to Zhorobaev, several houses and two cars were damaged during the conflict, two sheds of local residents burned down. At the same time, cases of loss of livestock were registered in the region.

Akim added that most of the evacuated people have already returned to their homes. At the same time, according to Azattyk , part of the residents of the villages of Tash-Tumshuk and Kok-Tash of the Batken region are still in neighboring villages.

The conflict on the Kyrgyz-Tajik border occurred on January 27 in the area of ​​Tort-Köchö, Batken region. Kyrgyz authorities claimed that citizens of the neighboring republic blocked the road that leads from Batken to Isfana. The border troops of Tajikistan assured that the clashes were provoked by the Kyrgyz side.
