Director General of the Scientific Research Institute for Biological Safety Problems Kunsulu Zakarya told the Kazinform correspondent about the possible registration of the domestic vaccine QazVac in Switzerland.

Earlier, she reported that production of a vaccine against the delta strain of coronavirus would soon begin in Kazakhstan.

In the information space, the news also spread that a commission from the World Health Organization would arrive at the new plant. According to the director general of the Research Institute for Biological Safety Problems, the two news are not related.

“Indeed, the entire world scientific community is working to develop an effective vaccine against the delta strain of coronavirus. Also, the Sputnik V vaccine was modified for the delta strain. The United States is also working on this virus strain. All work carried out, including ours, of foreign countries are at the level of study, research. Not yet approved by the Ministry of Health. They are considering. They will give permission in the near future. Now we are waiting for their answer,” – said the scientist.
