The Penitentiary Service (INS) under the Ministry of Justice commented on the dismissal of an employee of the institution No. 31 Akzhol Raimberdiev, who had previously reported about corruption in the colony.

It is noted that after his video message about illegal actions in institution No. 31 in early October this year, an official investigation was carried out, as a result of which “his arguments were not confirmed, and he was severely reprimanded for disseminating false information.”

In addition, Raimberdiev was transferred to a similar position in institution No. 8.

“On October 27 Raimberdiev expressed his disagreement with the rotation and threatened to commit an act of self-immolation. INS Chairman Askat Egemberdiev, in the presence of a number of employees, listened to all his arguments and claims. He was offered a solution to the issues in a legal way. He continued to violate the requirements of the law for a law enforcement officer and disseminate false information on social networks,” the Penitentiary Service said.
