According to sources, Gulbiddin Ziyobekov, a resident of the Shokhdar village of the Roshtkala region, was killed on Thursday as a result of an operation by the Tajik security forces.

The Prosecutor’s Office of the Gorno-Badakhshan Autonomous Region confirmed that on November 25, in the village of Shokhdar, an operation was carried out by law enforcement agencies to capture Ziyobekov, who was wanted on charges of committing crimes under two articles of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan – hostage-taking and incitement to ethnic hatred.
