The National Bank issues an anniversary banknote with a face value of 20 thousand tenge with the image of Nursultan Nazarbayev. It is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Kazakhstan’s independence, Tengrinews.kz reports. 

According to the National Bank, the design of the jubilee banknote was made using a unique technology: for the first time in the world, a demetalized strip was used, located along the entire vertical of the banknote and containing holographic images of the denomination, the logo of the 30th anniversary of independence and the facsimile of Kassym-Zhomart Tokayev.

The jubilee banknote has 27 security features. The design of the banknote is made in the same style as the banknotes in circulation: the front side contains mainly vertical images, the reverse side contains horizontal ones. The banknote is made in a predominant gray color. The size of the banknote is 155 by 79 millimeters.
