President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko addressed the annual Address to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly today at the Palace of the Republic , and then answered questions from the participants of the event.

A wide range of participants was invited to the event – more than 2.5 thousand people. Such a broad format is an initiative proposed during the work of the President in the regions, which the head of state supported. As a result, in addition to parliamentarians and delegations from the regions and the city of Minsk, traditionally among those invited are the highest officials of the country, members of the government, heads of state bodies, the media, representatives of the diplomatic corps and international organizations, heads of religious faiths, parliamentarians of past convocations, representatives of the real sector of the economy , youth, journalists and bloggers.

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in his Address to the Belarusian people and the National Assembly announced a change in the format of future addresses of the head of state. “We have gathered here to widely broadcast the political position of the state, to bring fundamental assessments of ongoing events and processes, to mobilize society to implement the most important decisions,” the head of state said.
