Monument to Nazarbayev demolished in Taldykorgan will not be restored – Bozumbayev-VLAST.KZ

The monument to Nursultan Nazarbayev, demolished from the pedestal during the January events, will not be restored. This was announced on Thursday at a press conference by Akim of the Almaty region Kanat Bozumbayev, Sputnik Kazakhstan reports .
“This issue is not on our agenda. To be honest, it is not possible to restore the old monument. Unless you make a new one. It is completely destroyed,” Bozumbayev said, answering a question from journalists.
The monument to the first President Nursultan Nazarbayev, erected in 2016 in Taldykorgan, was demolished by protesters during the January events.
