Earlier, the National Bank of Kyrgyzstan announced that Visa and Mastercard cards of some Kyrgyz banks may stop working and advised to purchase national Elcart cards.

“If sanctions are extended to Russian processing centers, there is a risk that holders of Visa and Mastercard cards of several banks that are serviced there will not be able to be served at other banks (ATMs, POS-terminals). It is possible that only settlement and cash services will be carried out in the branches / savings banks of the banks themselves,” the NBKR wrote.
