In Almaty, on the square near the Academy of Sciences, at least 400 people gathered for a rally organized by the unregistered Democratic Party, Vlast correspondents report. They oppose the construction of factories jointly with China in Kazakhstan and propose to develop joint production with Korea, Japan and European countries.
The prosecutor tried to persuade the leader of the Democratic Party Zhanbolat Mamai to call on his supporters to disperse, but he refused to do so, Vlast.kz reported.
Recall that the Almaty authorities did not agree on the rally, and the Department of Sanitary and Epidemiological Control demanded that the organizers refuse to hold it, since all public events in the city are prohibited due to the complex epidemiological situation.
