President Ilham Aliyev signed a decree on the establishment of the Agdam Industrial Park, Turan reported.

The same day, he attended the groundbreaking ceremony of the Park to occupy 190 hectares in the suburbs of Agdam.

The Industrial Park will be divided into branches of food industry, small industrial and service enterprises, large industrial enterprises, social and technical zones, a heavy-duty vehicle park (TIR), a base for sales of construction materials. It is planned to create 33 enterprises for the production of building materials, canned fruit and vegetables, meat and dairy products, wines, feed, as well as for the production and processing of fertilizers, packaging of agricultural products, as well as service areas, cold storage rooms. Estimated upcoming investments of Industrial Park residents are110 million manats.

The organization and management of the Agdam Industrial Park is incumbent upon the Agency for the Development of Economic Zones (AREZ) under the Ministry of Economy. A total 6 industrial parks have been created in Azerbaijan since 2011. Note that 5 of them are under the management of the AREZ that has been established in January this year.
