Georgia has reopened its borders to direct flights from Azerbaijain, starting today, report.az said.

Azerbaijani citizens who land in Georgia for transit will be required to provide a negative PCR test dated within 72 hours of the flight. Those who remain in the country will have to submit to an additional PCR test at their own expense within three days of arrival.

Georgia continues to restrict its land borders, though travellers who have received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine will be allowed to enter.

Flights between Tbilisi and Baku are expected to resume in the next few days.
