A fire broke out in a forest zone near the village of Honuba, Yardimli region (292 km south of Baku), the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Azerbaijan reports.

The fire-extinguishing units were involved in the fire protection units of the Special Risk Rescue Service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the personnel of the South Regional Center of this department, as well as employees of the Forestry Center of the Ministry of Ecology and local residents.

According to preliminary information, shrubs, dry leaves and stumps are burning on an area of ​​15 hectares.
