Azerbaijan state budget’s surplus amounted to 368.9 million manats ($217 million) or 1.2 percent of gross domestic product (GDP) in January-May, the State Statistics Committee said.

In the same period last year, the surplus was 1.135 billion manats or 4 percent of GDP.

State budget revenues amounted to 9.735 billion manats, expenditures – 9.366 billion manats in the first five months of 2021.

In nominal terms, GDP stood at 31.533 billion manats as of June 1.

Azerbaijan’s state budget projects revenues at 25.427 billion manats, expenditures – 28.543 billion manats.
