Azerbaijan’s state budget surplus amounted to 706.6 million manats ($415.7 million) or 2.8 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP) as of May 1, 2021, the Finance Ministry said.

The state budget revenues declined by 14 percent year-on-year to 8.234 billion manats in January-April this year, while expenditures rose by 3.6 percent to 7.528 billion manats.

The nominal volume of Azerbaijan’s GDP in January-April amounted to 25.079 billion manats.

The state budget sees revenues at 25.427 billion manats, expenditures – at 28.543 billion manats in 2021. The budget deficit for this year is projected at 3.116 billion manats or 4.1 percent of GDP.
