More than 157,000 industrial tourists have visited BELAZ since 2015, BelTA learned from the press service of the enterprise.

JSC “BELAZ” hosted a republican seminar “Industrial tourism as a resource for the development of the production sector”. “The holding of such an event within the walls of the Belarusian Automobile Plant is due to the fact that the enterprise was the first in the country to launch the project of industrial tourism “BELAZ – the brand of Belarus”. “, – noted in the press service.

The guests of the seminar were specialists in the field of industrial tourism and tour operators, who were taken along the full route offered for visitors to the enterprise. “The participants of the seminar were in for a pleasant surprise, they were the first to be issued a tourist passport. The passport contains useful information about our company, guest data, an itinerary sheet. Two lucky people in the document handed to them were marked, giving the right to drive in the BELAZ cabin and try themselves as a driver of a mining truck on a dynamic simulator,” the plant said.

The seminar discussed the development and promotion of industrial tourism. Topical topics for consideration were: features of the organization of industrial tourism on the example of OJSC “BELAZ”, the museum as a resource for the development of historical and cultural heritage, Internet marketing as a tool for promoting tourism services. The participants of the event exchanged experience, discussed the prospects and possibilities of creating joint routes.
