President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko made a decision to submit to the House of Representatives of the National Assembly a bill “On the suspension of the Agreement between the Republic of Belarus and the European Union on the readmission of persons staying without permission.” The document was prepared by the government in response to the unfriendly actions taken by the EU and its member states towards Belarus. BelTA learned this from the press service of the head of state.

The agreement defines the mechanism for the transfer, acceptance and return of persons who have violated the conditions of entry, stay and residence. In the near future, the corresponding obligations of our country will be frozen.
