The Consulate General of Belarus in New York will cease its work on October 21, 2021 at the request of the American side. This information is posted on the website of the diplomatic mission, BelTA informed.

“Citizens of Belarus residing in the territory of the consular district of the consulate general (including Canada), after the closure of the consulate general, will be able to apply for consular actions to the Belarusian embassy in the United States,” the statement on the diplomatic mission’s website says.

It also notes that the citizens of Belarus, previously registered for a personal reception at the Consulate General until October 15 inclusive, will be able to apply for consular actions. After October 15, access to the office of the Consulate General will not be possible.
