Deputy Dastan Bekeshev on his Telegram channel called the interrogation in the Bishkek department of the State Committee for National Security an administrative resource. The interrogation took place on November 15, and Bekeshev spent almost 4 hours there. According to the people’s deputy, he was summoned for interrogation due to the fact that minors were allegedly involved in his campaigning.

According to Bekeshev, the State Committee for National Security intervened in his election campaign.

“This is the use of an administrative resource, I can certainly assert this because they do not interfere with all my opponents in the Oktyabrsky District and even somewhere they turn a blind eye to some violations,” he said.

He noted that one of his opponents is the former Minister of Internal Affairs Melis Turganbaev, another opponent is the adviser to the president on a voluntary basis Ruslan Kydyrmyshev.

All three are single-mandate candidates for the Oktyabrsky District of Bishkek. They are participating in the parliamentary elections scheduled for November 28, 2021.
