The deficit of the republican budget of Belarus in January-August amounted to Br0.8 billion, BelTA learned from the Ministry of Finance.

The republican budget revenues amounted to Br17.8 billion, or 74.2% of the revised annual plan.

VAT receipts amounted to Br9.9 billion (70.9%), income tax – Br2.9 billion (84.7%). Excise taxes were received in the amount of Br2.3 billion (69.1%). Income from foreign economic activity amounted to Br3.2 billion, or 80.5%.

The republican budget expenditures amounted to Br18.6 billion, or 61.8% of the revised annual plan.

Br7.5 billion (57.6%) was allocated for national activities, Br4.2 billion (62.3%) for financing the national economy, for financing the social sphere (social policy, education, health care, physical culture, sports, culture and mass media) – Br13.6 billion (66.1%).

The surplus (excess of revenues over expenditures) of the general government budget in January-August amounted to Br0.8 billion. Revenues amounted to Br39.6 billion (71.6% of the revised annual plan), expenditures – Br38.8 billion (63.5% ).
