Employees of Bishkekvodokanal organized a corruption scheme, the damage amounted to more than 311 million soms-KLOOP.KG

The press service of the State Committee for National Security reported that a corruption scheme was revealed in Bishkekvodokanal.

According to the intelligence service, the responsible persons of the enterprise, in collusion with representatives of individual construction companies, connected about 23 new multi-apartment residential buildings to the water supply and sewerage networks, bypassing payments to the Bishkek Vodokanal budget.

It is noted that we are talking about houses built from 2018 to 2021 in the southern zone of the capital. The money for connection to the water supply was intended to repay a loan with interest received from the EBRD under the project “Rehabilitation of Water Supply and Sewerage of the City of Bishkek”, and also had to be spent on the construction of main and distributing water supply and sewerage networks.

“As a result, the budget of Bishkekvodokanal suffered damage in the amount of more than 311 million soms. Part of this amount was reimbursed by the developers,” the State Committee for National Security added.
