The Baku Grave Crimes Court held a trial on the criminal case of Fagan Akhmedov, a former judge of the Sabunchi District Court, accused of murdering his wife.

Report informs that the case was considered under the chairmanship of Judge Telman Huseynov.

The journalists were allowed into the hearing after the prosecutor announced the indictment and Fagan Akhmedov testified.

At the trial, witnesses were questioned. The father of the murdered Parvana Akhmedova, Suleiman Guliyev, said that there were no problems between his daughter and son-in-law during his family life: “Fagan and Parvana have been married since 2006. An accident happened. I forgive Fagan. I ask the court to forgive Fagan Akhmedov. We My wife and I are elderly and we have health problems. We are unable to look after three children. I think Fagan will be able to look after the children better.”
