The Investigative Court of the capital extended the term of house arrest for another two months for the former Minister of Health Yelzhan Birtanov. As the investigating judge Talgat Akshabaev explained on Tuesday, this is due to the need to familiarize himself with the materials of the criminal case.

“To extend the term of house arrest for Birtanov during the period of familiarization with the materials of the criminal case until 21:56 pm on November 14, 2021,” said Judge Akshabaev

Earlier, prosecutor Tolegen Zharaspayev appealed to the court with a petition from the head of the investigative operational group Khasanov to extend the term of house arrest in relation to Birtanov for the period of familiarization with the materials of the criminal case.
