President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, at the invitation of President Moon Jae In, arrived on a state visit to the capital of the Republic of Korea, Seoul. This was announced by the press secretary of the Head of State Berik Uali, Kazinform MIA reports.

Kassym-Jomart Tokayev became the first world leader to visit South Korea since the start of the pandemic.

The program of the state visit is very rich. Talks with President Moon Jae-in are scheduled for August 17, during which the parties will consider a wide range of issues of further development of the Kazakh-Korean strategic partnership. Following the talks, it is planned to sign a number of bilateral documents. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, together with Moon Jae In, will also hold a meeting with the leaders of Korean business. Along with this, the Head of State will take part in a ceremony dedicated to the memory of the national hero of Korea, General Hon Bom Do, who lived in Kazakhstan in the last years of his life.
