President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has appointed new governors in the Vitebsk and Mogilev regions. The head of state made the corresponding personnel decision on December 13, BelTA has learned.

Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Subbotin has been appointed Chairman of the Vitebsk Regional Executive Committee, Deputy Chairman of the Council of the Republic Anatoly Isachenko will head the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee.

The President recalled that Alexander Subbotin was directly involved in the development of new approaches to the development of the Vitebsk region, especially in agriculture in the region, the creation of integration structures on the basis of farms.

“As a deputy prime minister, we agreed that we will seriously look at how things are going in the Vitebsk region. We can no longer calmly watch how some issues are being resolved.
