The Bishkek police department has begun pre-trial proceedings under the article “Violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules” on the fact of mass poisoning in the “Empire of Pizza” cafe network. The “Kloop” was informed about this by the metropolitan police.

The police said that all the materials collected on the fact of the mass poisoning were registered with the ERPP, and the necessary forensic and legal examinations were appointed.

“The investigation continues,” the Bishkek police department added.

Mass poisoning of citizens took place in different branches of the Pizza Empire cafe. On October 23, citizens with signs of food poisoning began to apply to the infectious diseases department of the Railway Hospital in Bishkek.

At first, 12 people went to the hospital with poisoning, but then the number of poisoned people began to grow and reached 318 people on October 28 . According to the Ministry of Health, as of October 29, 22 of them continue to remain in the hospital, of which five are children.
