On Wednesday, during the plenary session, the Mazhilis in the second reading approved the draft law “On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the Development of Land Relations”, which extended the moratorium on the sale of agricultural land to citizens of Kazakhstan for five years, Vlast.kz reported.
“A conceptual decision has been made to preserve the institution of lease for domestic land users and to define a moratorium on the provisions of the Land Code on the provision of agricultural land in private ownership to Kazakhstanis,” MP Berik Ospanov said.
