In Belarus, 4 people were diagnosed with a new variant of the coronavirus – omicron. BelTA learned this from the press service of the Ministry of Health.

During the day, 1493 patients with COVID-19 were registered in Belarus, 1699 were discharged. In total, 696 220 people with a positive test for COVID-19 have been registered in Belarus since the beginning of the pandemic. 688 890 patients recovered, in whom the diagnosis of COVID-19 was previously confirmed.

Over the entire period of the spread of the infection in the country, 5,543 patients with diagnosed coronavirus infection have died.

Over the past day, 27,593 tests have been performed. A total of 10,999,160 tests have been carried out in the country.
