Activating the activities of the trilateral working group on unblocking communications in the region is an important tool for creating a favorable environment around Armenia, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at the discussion of the government’s program in the parliament.

“An important tool and platform for creating a favorable environment around Armenia is the activation of the activities of the working group of the Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan, formed with the aim of unblocking regional economic and transport links on the basis of trilateral statements of November 9, 2020 and January 11, 2021, and fixing concrete results, “he said.

Pashinyan said that the government sees in the activities of this group a serious opportunity to break the 30-year blockade around Armenia. The Prime Minister stressed that this process is exacerbated by the destructive and provocative statements of the Azerbaijani side about some corridors.

“Neither the trilateral statement of November 9, nor the statement of January 11, which is fully devoted to the opening of communications, has no expression, reference, wording on the creation of a corridor through the territory of Armenia,” he said.
