The son of the Syunik governor, Karen Poghosyan, who is on the wanted list, voluntarily appeared at the Investigative Committee and was transferred to the “Armavir” penitentiary. This information was confirmed to “Novosti-Armenia” agency by the press secretary of the SC Vardan Tadevosyan.

“Yesterday he voluntarily appeared. Investigative actions are being carried out, after which (the case – ed.) Will be sent to the court to make a decision on the arrest,” he said.

Poghosyan is on the wanted list after the shooting in the town of Goris, Syunik region on July 14. According to the SC, they shot at two local residents with the intention of murder, the victims were hospitalized. In fact, a criminal case was initiated on the grounds of attempted murder and illegal acquisition, storage and use of weapons and ammunition.
