The head of state met with the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Odile Renault-Basso, Kazinform reports with reference to the press service of Akorda.

During the meeting, the results of the activities of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in Kazakhstan and priorities for further cooperation were discussed.

Welcoming Odile Renault-Basso, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev noted that they had a very productive conversation during an online conversation in February, but nothing can replace a real meeting, which will allow exchanging views on cooperation between Kazakhstan and the EBRD.

“The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development is a strategic partner of Kazakhstan. Over the years of cooperation, the bank has invested more than 8 billion euros in our economy, about 300 projects have been implemented. As we know, in general, the bank’s financing went to various sectors, in particular to the renewable energy sector. We look forward to continuing cooperation in the field of renewable energy sources; it is also very important for us to implement projects in the agro-industrial complex, ”the Head of State emphasized.
