On the basis of the Antigen research and production enterprise, the second production site for the full cycle of production of medical vaccines, including QazVac, was put into operation. Deputy Prime Minister Yeraly Tugzhanov got acquainted with the work of the enterprise, the correspondent of the business information center Kapital.kz reports with reference to the press service of the IAC on non-proliferation of COVID-19.

This enterprise is a partner of the Scientific Research Institute of Biological Safety Problems of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

“NIIPBB, using the Antigen site, prepared and launched the second production site for the full cycle of production of medical vaccines, including QazVac. For these purposes, with the support of the Akimat of the Almaty region, new technological equipment for the production of vaccines was purchased on concessional lending,” the MVK explained.

In September, 300 thousand validation series of QazVac vaccines with a capacity of up to 1 million doses per month have already been produced at the Antigen site.
