Officers of the Border Service of the State National Security Committee were caught on corruption, the press service of the Committee on October 20.

Officials of the Dostuk road checkpoint extorted money from citizens who crossed the border under the patronage of certain heads of the Border Service. The money was demanded from the citizens of Uzbekistan and drivers of heavy vehicles.

Criminal probe into bribe-taking by a group of people was launched.

On October 19, A.E., the head of the Dostuk road checkpoint, Ch.N., the head of the State National Security Committee of Osh region, and K.B., the First Deputy Director and Chief of General Staff of the State National Security Committee, were detained.
