UzAuto Motors began a phased transformation of management and production, within which it was planned to switch to the production of cars on the basis of a single unified platform, UZ DAILY reported, citing the press service of UzAuto Motors.

On the basis of this platform, the production of several models will be established at once, which will optimize the volume of investments in projects, increase the level of localization and reduce production costs.

At the first stage, these models will be cars of the Chevrolet Onix and Tracker models.

The planned installation and commissioning works necessary within the framework of the transition, which will allow mastering the production of the Chevrolet Onix and Tracker models in the future, are planned for the period from 15 July to 21 August.

The Chevrolet Onix and Tracker are built on the same platform.

The program for the introduction of a new platform also implies a transition to a new production system, modernization and adaptation of enterprises for localization of auto components.
