Uzbekistan allows children to be vaccinated against coronavirus from the age of five. This process is voluntary, vaccination will be carried out by the German drug Pfizer, Podrobno.uz correspondent reports.

This was announced today during a briefing in Tashkent by Deputy Head of the Service for Sanitary and Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health Nurmat Otabekov.

According to him, this decision was made to prevent the spread of a new strain of the omicron coronavirus infection in our country, taking into account the recommendations of international and national experts. The consent of the child’s parents or guardians must be given for the vaccination.
