Uzbekistan and the United States have agreed to hold a business forum for representatives of the American and Uzbek business communities in the first half of 2022, the Podrobno.uz correspondent reports, citing data from the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade.
This became known following the talks between the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Investments and Foreign Trade of Uzbekistan Sardor Umurzakov with the delegation of the United States of America headed by Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Donald Lu.
During the talks, it was noted that for eleven months of 2021, trade between the two countries increased by 48.5% compared to the same period in 2020. In addition, over the past few years, the number of enterprises with American capital in Uzbekistan has doubled.
