Armenian Minister of Economy Vahan Kerobyan commented on the results of the tender for the construction of a ski resort on the slopes of Mount Aragats during a briefing on Thursday. 

Earlier, civilnet.am reported that France was dissatisfied with the approach of the Armenian government to the project on the slopes of Aragats. It is noted that the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs conveyed to the Armenian side its dissatisfaction with the implementation of the project, and that during the December 9 meeting of the bilateral working group on economic cooperation between France and Armenia, the French side raised the issue of the implementation of the program.

“There were 2 competitive projects on the same territory, in respect of which a commission was created by decree of the prime minister. It studied two projects and made a decision. When making a decision, the commission was guided not by the interests of the French government, but by the interests of citizens,” he said.
