(Read the full article on armenpress.am)

As a result of cooperation between ACBA Bank, ACBA Leasing, GEFF of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) through financing business projects in the field of energy efficiency, climate change adaptation and renewable energy sources in Armenia, $ 5 million will be spent on the development of a “green” economy. The attracted funds will be provided both in drams and in US dollars, ARMENPRESS reported.

Thanks to this program, enterprises will have the opportunity to make their business more efficient with the help of solar photovoltaic power plants, energy-efficient transport and construction equipment, motors and pumps, production technologies and more than 1,500 other highly efficient technologies.

Green investments in Armenia have great potential for development. “With the help of this cooperation, we will have an opportunity to support the development of these spheres by broader means,” said Aghasi Gasparyan, General Director of ACBA Leasing.

“The GEFF attaches great importance to financing high-performance technologies and projects. As such investments are targeted and require an integrated approach to prepare and inform our clients, we work with our partner financial institutions. One such example was the recent joint event with ACBA և ACBA Leasing, which was organized especially for the enterprises of the construction sector, ”said Andro Butkhuz, deputy head of the GEFF project in Armenia.
