Compulsory coronavirus vaccination for people over 60 and for people with chronic diseases is being introduced in St. Petersburg. This is stated in the decree of the chief state sanitary doctor in St. Petersburg Natalia Bashketova.

“Supplement clause 1 with subclause 1.3 as follows: <…> persons aged 60 and over; persons with chronic diseases, including diseases of the broncho-pulmonary system, cardiovascular system, endocrine system (diabetes, obesity)” , – the resolution says.

In addition, workers in industry, manufacturing, processing industry, construction, transport and transport infrastructure, including employees of Pulkovo airport, personnel of airlines and seaports, including seafarers, are subject to mandatory vaccination. Students over 18 years of age who are doing internships outside the structural units are also required to be vaccinated. Vaccination must be carried out before December 15 with the first component, before January 15 with the second, covering at least 80% of the total number of employees.

According to the certificate on the indicators of the epidemic situation in St. Petersburg, distributed by the press service of the city administration, since the beginning of the mass vaccination in the city, more than 1.8 million people have been vaccinated with the first component, more than 1.9 million people have completed the vaccination cycle. Now in the city there are 177 vaccination points deployed on the basis of medical institutions.
