Tajikistan once again expressed its readiness to assist the international community in providing humanitarian aid to the population of Afghanistan through its territory.

This was announced at the meeting of the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Russia Davlatshokh Gulmakhmadzoda with the EU Special Representative for Afghanistan Thomas Niklasson, the press service of the diplomatic mission reported .

“The Ambassador of Tajikistan, noting the transport and logistics capabilities of the country, expressed the republic’s readiness to assist the international community in providing humanitarian assistance to the population of Afghanistan through the territory of Tajikistan,” the press service of the embassy said.

At the meeting, the sides also exchanged views on the current situation in Afghanistan and the possible threat to regional security.
