A working meeting between the Minister of Energy of Belarus Viktor Karankevich and the Minister of Energy of Russia Nikolai Shulginov took place in Moscow today. The talks were held with the participation of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Vladimir Semashko, BelTA learned from the press service of the Energy Ministry.

The parties discussed issues of bilateral cooperation within the framework of the union program to create a unified electricity market. In particular, they considered the key aspects of the draft interstate agreement on the formation of a common electricity market.

The meeting participants also discussed approaches to implementing the union program to create a unified gas market.
