Due to the Russian attack, the city of Chernihiv was on the verge of a humanitarian catastrophe. There has been no heat, electricity or water for several days, little food and medicine.
This was stated by Mayor Vladislav Atroshenko in an interview with RBC-Ukraine .
He noted that the city is at risk of an outbreak of intestinal diseases – it is impossible to comply with sanitation, because the city has no water. Hot and cold water because there is no electricity. Almost all infrastructure facilities were destroyed.
“Over the past day and a half, the intensity of enemy shelling from all types of weapons in the residential sector has increased significantly. It is in the residential sector. There is absolutely no selectivity. The enemy strikes from anywhere, at random throughout the city,” Atroshenko added.
