UkraineInvest received 23 applications for investment projects from potential investors for a total of $ 1.35 billion, half of which came from Ukraine, UKRINFORM reported.

According to a Ukrinform correspondent, this was announced by the Executive Director of UkraineInvest Serhiy Tsivkach during the online presentation of the results of the study “Investment Attractiveness Index of Ukraine”.

“Since we were authorized by the government to act as an authorized institution to support projects with significant investments, we have 23 projects, two more – we are discussing. In total, there were more than 80 appeals. Currently, the total amount is more than $ 1.35 billion “, – said Tsivkach.

According to him, half of such applications came from Ukraine. Most of these projects received by UkraineInvest are related to agricultural processing.

Tsivkach also noted that as for foreign companies, they are mostly companies from Turkey, Lithuania, Mexico, Switzerland and Georgia.

“By the way, we have just returned from Lithuania and we have one project for 30 million and one potential project for over 200 million euros,” Tsivkach said.

One of the projects concerns production for the world network. He explained that when a foreign investor enters Ukraine, in addition to the level of corruption in the country and the judiciary, he is interested in other issues.
