A record harvest has almost been reaped – there are already more than 46 million tons of grain-UKRINFORM.UA

As of September 24, Ukrainian farmers harvested 46.4 million tons of grain and legumes from an area of ​​10.6 million hectares. 

As Ukrinform reports, this was reported by the  press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy .

In particular, 33 million tons of wheat, 10.2 million tons of barley and 582 thousand tons of peas were harvested. The leader in grain threshing is Odesa region with a rate of 4.36 million tons, and the leader in yield is Khmelnytsky region (60.3 c / ha).

Rapeseed harvesting has also been completed: more than 2.9 million tons have been threshed from 1 million hectares. The highest yields of rapeseed are in Ternopil (37.2 c / ha) and Khmelnytsky (35 c / ha) oblasts.

Farmers in 17 oblasts have started harvesting corn. Threshing of the first 700 hectares of corn in Chernihiv region showed an average yield of 100 c / ha.

Agrarians of all regions harvest buckwheat, which has already threshed 75 thousand tons with a yield of 13.5 centners per hectare, in Vinnytsia, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Kherson and Cherkasy regions its harvest has already been completed.

Agricultural producers of 19 oblasts harvest millet; in Vinnytsia, Donetsk, Luhansk, Sumy, Ternopil, Kherson and Cherkasy regions its collection has already been completed.

Agrarians from 12 out of 18 beet-growing areas started digging sugar beets. 1.25 million tons have already been harvested with a yield of 485.4 c / ha. Sunflower was harvested from an area of ​​2 million hectares with a yield of 21.3 c / ha. Soybeans were harvested from an area of ​​263 thousand hectares. Its highest yield is observed in Khmelnytsky region – 31.4 centners per hectare.

As reported by Ukrinform, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, as of September 20, exports of grains and legumes in the 2021/2022 marketing year (MR, which began on July 1, 2021) reached 11.55 million tons, which is 1.08 million tons more than in a similar period of the last MR.
