The Armenian government at a meeting on Thursday made a decision to announce and conduct a winter conscription and demobilisation.

According to the government’s decision, the winter conscription of the rank and file for compulsory military and alternative service will be announced from October 25, 2021 to January 31, 2022. inclusive.

The conscription affects those male citizens who turn 18 by December 31, 2021, as well as those citizens for whom the period of the previously issued deferral from conscription for compulsory military service expires until December 31, 2021 inclusive.

As part of the 2021 winter draft, servicemen who have completed compulsory military and alternative service of the rank and file will be demobilised until January 31, 2022 inclusively within the timeframe established by law.
