Azerbaijan’s non-oil exports of goods rose by 47.2 percent year-on-year to $2.7 billion in 2021, the country’s Economic Reforms and Communications Analyses Centre said.
The growth was due to a significant increase in exports of ferrous metals and products, chemical products, sugar and sugar products, cotton fibre, aluminium and aluminium products – by 66.2 percent.
According to the Centre, the country’s total export amounted to $22.2 billion last year. Non-oil export’s share in total amount was 12.2 percent.
In 2020, Azerbaijan’s non-oil exports declined 5.2 percent year-on-year to $1.9 billion due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
