The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry invited the Russian ambassador to the republic, Eleonora Mitrofanova, to the meeting, News.ru reported.

According to New.ru, the reason for inviting the Russian diplomat was not named.

Earlier, the Bulgarian authorities said that six Russians were involved in four explosions at the country’s arms factories, where the weapons of businessman Emilian Gebrev were kept. The ammunition was to be sent to Georgia and Ukraine. The explosions took place between 2011 and 2020. Also, the Russians are suspected of the attempt on Gebrev, which took place in 2015.
