Today, Azerbaijan marks the Day of Remembrance as a sign of deep respect for our soldiers and officers, all martyrs who heroically fought during the Patriotic War and gave their lives for the restoration of the country’s territorial integrity.

In this regard, a number of events are planned.

On this day, in places of religious worship – mosques, churches, synagogues – they will commemorate martyrs, read prayers for the repose of their souls.

At 12:00 a minute of silence will be announced throughout the country.

In the evening, the image of the flag of Azerbaijan will be projected on a number of buildings equipped with a special lighting system, including the Heydar Aliyev Center and Flame Towers. Public Association “Regional Development” under the Heydar Aliyev Foundation will hold commemorative events.
