In accordance with an agreement between the Ministry of Transport and the International Transport Forum under the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, a meeting of a working group was held in Tashkent with the participation of experts of the International Transport Forum.

At the meeting of the working group, ways of reforming the public transport sector, developing models for the development of public transport in this direction, introducing digital technologies in the field and decarbonizing urban passenger transport were discussed.

According to the project, the international transport forum provides for the development of a roadmap for Uzbekistan to ensure sustainable mobility of the population in cities and reform the public transport sector.
