The city authorities of Nikolaev are preparing for an attack or siege of the city, equipping defensive structures.

This was announced in an interview with Ukrainska Pravda by the mayor of the city Oleksandr Senkevich.

He noted that Russia is transferring weapons and resources through the Crimea, accumulating them in the Kherson region.

“We see that Russia is transferring weapons and military resources through Crimea. We see that they are accumulating them in the Kherson region. And yes, we expect an attack or a siege of the city of Nikolaev. Already today we are preparing defense installations together with our military. Like on the outskirts cities, and inside. Our utilities are now playing the role of a construction battalion. We are building, pouring, concrete. In addition, we are also pulling Russian military equipment from the fields … So I will say briefly: we are preparing for a full-scale invasion,” Senkevich said.
