On April 25, at 08:10, two cruise missiles fired by the Russian military were recorded above the cooling pond of the Khmelnytsky NPP .
This was reported by the press service of Energoatom.
It is reported that the rockets flew probably towards the cities of Rivne or Zdolbunov.
“The Russian armed forces are again thoughtlessly shelling the territory of Ukraine, releasing cruise and other strategic-tactical missiles in the most critical proximity to nuclear facilities. This is another act of nuclear terrorism, which has been increasing since the beginning of Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine. Russian aggression in Ukraine must be stopped as soon as possible, because the whole world is in danger – under the threat of another nuclear catastrophe!”
As UNIAN reported, during a large-scale military invasion of Ukraine, Russian invaders took control of two nuclear facilities – the Chernobyl and Zaporozhye nuclear power plants. In particular, the invaders captured the Chernobyl nuclear power plant on the first day of the invasion, on February 24, and the Zaporizhzhya nuclear power plant on March 4.
